PAS-Meriti: Ch.5 (Study Questions)

  1. How is Hieroglypic different from English? Was any of this unusual?

The first question may be “How did Hieroglyphic thinking evolve in Egyptian Culture?” to which I would answer; “The Egyptian concept of Durative Time; that is that ‘Nothing preceded the Everything that will one day return to Nothing” and that all of that is constantly going on created a culture which was not anxious about the measure or evaluation of what could be achieved in the temporal 24-hour block of time we call a day. This culture evolved into a writing process called “Hieroglyphics’ which depicted more than a system of cipher or phonetic letter sets, but created a symbolism which sprang from the living embodiments of their spiritual principles.

This multiplicity of meaning involved in the Egyptian hieroglyphic communication conveyed much more than words and phrases. It conveyed the essence of the meaning.

  2.  Do you now see why it took the Rosetta Stone to begin grasping that language?

Yes (see what you get when you ask a question that I can give a yes or no answer to! :) )
