Aye aye aye! Anyone who has ever tried to do Dr. John Dee’s system of Enochian Magick knows what a pain-in-the-butt it can be. First of all the angelics are a bit terse and dry, have a wacky language and want you to do all this pre-work before you do the actual work.
That being said, it is a very effective system and my hat is off to Dr. Dee and Mr. Kelley as well as Benjamin Rowe and all the other magii who have taken their turn in what I call the “advanced system of rubbing your tummy while patting your head, hopping on one leg and reciting the Lord’s Prayer converted to binary and conveyed in a series of low or high ‘boops’.”
On July 7, 2009, which was both a full moon and a lunar eclipse, I began a boomerang working of the 30 Aethers. Starting with LIL and going one a day from 1 (LIL)-> 30 (TEX) and then starting right back up and doing an aether-a-day the more traditional way from 30 (TEX) –> 1 (LIL).
While I was doing this I learned many new (well, new to me) about the 3 (or 4 in some cases) “governors) of each Aether, what the Aethers actually are, where they correspond to and how they relate to life, the universe & everything.
It was very cool. It was exhausting. And I have my record of work available if you care to check it out.
